In Japan, people often ask about your blood type as if it reveals your entire personality.
To be honest, I’ve always hated that question.
Whenever I say, “I’m type B,” I have never been complimented. Not care…
And if i respond with,
“How can you judge someone just by their blood?”
people immediately say,
“That’s exactly what a type B person would say!”
You really can’t win…∑(ﾟДﾟ)
My Husband and I Are Supposedly the “Worst Match”
According to the Japanese blood-type compatibility theory, type B and type A are one of the worst combinations…
Well….
I’m type B.
My husband is type A.
Not only that my entire family is type B, and his entire family is type A.
It sounds like a recipe for full-scale family war, right?
But surprisingly, both families get along wonderfully.
Which is why I always want to shout:
“See? Blood type tells you nothing!!”
A Funny Moment with Second-Grade Girls👧👧
One day, I volunteered at my children’s elementary school during their annual health checkup.
I was in charge of a group of second -grade girls-full of energy, Sparkles, and endless curiosity..Lol
While waiting for their measurements, one of them suddenly asked:
“Do you have a boyfriends??”
I started to answer,
“Well, I don’t have a boyfriend, but I do have a husba–“
But before I could finished, they screamed:
“Tell us your boyfriend’s nam!!!”
And then, using that old Japanese finger-fortune game we all used to play as kids, they began
“predicting” my compatibility with my husband.
The result?
“Kyaaaa!!! You’ll kiss on a roller coaster!!!”
After that, they continued:
“Heaven, Hell, Supper hell…..”
“Kyaaaaa!!!! Heaven!!!”
Being surrounded by excited second-grade girls doing fortune-telling felt like “Super Hell”…
but honestly, they were adorable…( ´∀｀)
My Kids Want to Know Their Blood Types
Because of the policy at the maternity clinic, my son and daughter never had thier blood types test at birth.
Now that they’re teenagers, they’s reached the age where they really want to know.
I thought “Myers-Briggs type indicator” I had taken over as the trend,
but apparently, when it comes to compatibility, blood type still matters to them.
I secretly hope they turn out to be type B like me…(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)
